| Back by popular demand we present to you another installment of live band karaoke. This time is going to be different, more exciting and interesting for all that participate. We are pleased to announce that there will be three different genres to choose from in which you all can compete. We wanted to make the contest more open to a wider variety of people. There is so much raw, undiscovered talent out there and we wanted to have it all under one roof. To get you prepared for what is to come, we wanted to give you a little bit of insight on what to expect. There will be hundreds of contestants this time around and we want to make sure that everyone is well informed of what to expect so they can be well prepared. Every week a different genre will be featured. Within that genre there will be a list of songs to choose from. Should you compete on a particular night and not be chosen as the 1st place winner for that night, you can come back and compete the next time that genre comes around or you can take a shot in another genre. The contest will consist of three rounds. Round two, the semi‐finals will include a Top 24, and the FINALS will consist of a Top 10.Each week will have a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner. The 1st place winners are guaranteed a place in the semi –final round, a total of 24 singers, which will then end up being a total of 10 singers for the final round. The 2nd and 3rd place winners can come back any of the remaining weeks of the contest for a shot at first place for that week. There will be seven people who have placed #1 in their genre, who will not be allowed to compete in another genre after they have placed number one. The first round will last for 24 weeks. Weeks 1‐21, have one winner from each genre, totaling 21 people. Weeks 22‐24 will be the wild card draws for each specific genre. The wild card weeks, weeks 22‐24 will have 12 people per night sing for a shot at #1 for the genre featured that night. The #1 person from each of those three nights will join the already named 21 #1 placed singers to complete the top 24. |
